La Gabinière - Ouest

Also known as: Site Ouest de la Gabinière · La Gabinière West

The national park describes many rock falls full of hiding places for fish such as forkbeards, with sponges, algae and anemones on the stones. Beyond the boulders lies a Posidonia meadow, mostly to the north-east of the islet. Small groups of brown meagre hover almost still, and giant doris nudibranchs are found on the rocks. The site is exposed to the mistral, and boats moor on the west side of the islet.
