The Hole

Also known as: The Hole / Green Bay Caves · Green Bay Caves · Green Bay Cave · Green Bay 2 · Nissia Caves · Blue Hole · Blue Hole - Green Bay

Divers start from the beach or the small jetty at Green Bay and swim out over shallow reef and valleys between two rocky islets. A short rock arch forms the first swim-through, where squirrelfish and damselfish shelter in the light. The main feature is a big, bright cavern that divers drop into from above and leave through its seaward mouth at around 17 to 18 m, with sunlight streaming through the openings. Hatchetfish, cardinalfish, groupers and moray eels live in the caves, and turtles and octopus are seen nearby. Divers with enough air can return around the islet and finish in Green Bay itself.
