Cucumber Alley

Cucumber Alley is one of the two named sites on Pellowe Reef, a small reef close to the continental shelf that boats can only reach in fine weather. Its name comes from the large number of sea cucumbers on the sand. The reef nearby falls away quickly to 30 metres, and stronger currents can run. Chevron barracuda, nudibranchs, grey and whitetip reef sharks and schools of giant trevally are among the marine life Silverswift lists for the site.
