Bajo de Piles II
Also known as: Piles II · Bajo de Piles 2
Piles II is the slightly larger twin of Piles I and is shaped like a loaf of bread stretched from west to east. Its wide summit plateau lies in shallow water, while its flanks fall to sand, gravel and Posidonia meadows. Large groups of brown meagre, groupers of all sizes and moray eels hide in its holes. On days with current, schools of barracuda, white seabream and dentex circle the ridge. Planeta Azul counts it among the most life-filled dives of the reserve all year round.
