Cat's Meow

Cat's Meow lies in deep water sheltered from the swell by the Vuya barrier reef off Vanua Levu. One side of the bommie is covered in soft and leather corals, the other in large hard coral formations. It was named after the wife of NAI'A's founder, and the site supplied much of the soft coral footage for the IMAX film Coral Reef Adventure. Ornate ghost pipefish and a pygmy seahorse have been reported here, and with current, surgeonfish and unicornfish gather in large numbers.
