Padre Nuestro

Also known as: Cueva Padre Nuestro · Padre Nuestro Cave

Padre Nuestro lies in the park sector of the same name, about 15 minutes from Bayahibe, and is entered through a freshwater pool after a walk through dry forest. Inside, narrow passages alternate with wider rooms decorated with stalactites and stalagmites. A dome allows divers to surface and breathe air that reaches it through natural channels, and Divemaster Austin reports Taíno artefacts and old bones inside the cave. The water is still and very clear. Guided cavern dives turn at a warning sign; the system continues much further and is only for certified cave divers.
