Brianna H

Also known as: Brianne H

The Brianna H was a cargo ship built in 1965 that went down at anchor during heavy rains in August 2014, so it settled upright and largely intact, much like a purpose-sunk wreck. It lies in the northern part of Carlisle Bay just beyond the harbour breakwater and is marked by a yellow buoy. A big crane stands on the forward deck, and the passageways one level below the open decks make an attractive covered walk. Hurricane Beryl partly collapsed the wreck in 2024, opening many new nooks for marine life. Being a young wreck, it is still building up coral growth, which tends to attract larger fish. Only divers trained in wreck penetration should go inside, as the corridors are confusing and silt up easily.
