Berwyn

Also known as: Berwind · Berwin

The Berwyn is a 70 ft French tug from the First World War that was scuttled by its own crew in Carlisle Bay in 1919. After more than a century underwater its hull is covered in coral and hosts a small reef community of its own. At only about 25 ft it is where newer divers usually start their wreck diving, and it often serves as a safety stop at the end of a Carlisle Bay dive. It lies among the other wrecks of the marine park and is easily combined with them.
