Britty Rala
The site is reached by a boat ride of about 30 minutes to a little cove on the southern tip of the island. A dramatic wall and a coral-covered slope meet here, a topography operators call unique on Atauro. A small cave lies at around 15 m, and the site's nooks hold critters such as glass shrimps, banded pipefish, porcelain crabs, dragonets and squirrelfish. Out in open water, schools of Spanish mackerel, bumphead parrotfish and patrolling Napoleon wrasse are often seen.
