Malmok Reef

Also known as: Malmok

Malmok is a calm, shallow shore dive on Aruba's northwest coast, used for training and relaxed reef dives. A sandy bottom and a rocky shoreline slope host turtles, stingrays and many reef fish.

The site lies off the Malmok area and is entered at Tres Trapi, from where divers follow the rocky shoreline. Clear, calm water and easy depths of roughly 6 to 18 m make it a favourite for discover dives, courses and photography. The shoreline wall carries urchins, corals and feather worms, while the sand hosts stingrays and turtles. It also works as a nursery for juvenile fish and lobsters, and frogfish or seahorses turn up occasionally.
