Fesdu Wreck
Also known as: Fesdhoo Wreck · Fesdhoo Wreck & Thila
The steel trawler rests upright on sand near Fesdu Island, its bow slightly deeper than its stern. Sponges, hard and soft corals, tubastrea and feather stars now cover the hull, and nudibranchs feed on the sponges. Dense clouds of glassfish and cardinalfish fill the wheelhouse, while moray eels, groupers, trevally and barracuda patrol around it. The dive normally circles the wreck first and then moves across to the neighbouring thila to finish shallower. Guides generally advise against penetration because the passages inside are narrow.
