Trunk Bay
Also known as: Trunk Cay
Trunk Bay on the north shore is the most famous beach in Virgin Islands National Park and the only one on St. John with an amenity fee. Its Underwater Snorkel Trail runs along the west side of Trunk Bay Cay for about 300 ft and then turns back to the beach, with plaques explaining the local marine life. Coral and fish carry on past the trail to the north end of the cay, where conditions tend to be choppier. Wannadive lists it as a shore dive with a maximum depth of about 5 m and low current.
