Hunga Magic
Hunga Magic is reached by a short boat trip through the islands into the area where humpback whales give birth. The terrain rolls and is broken up by jagged pinnacles and deep gullies. Leather corals in muted colours, sea fans and carnation corals in deep red cover the seabed, while stony corals give shelter to crustaceans and many fish. Divers carrying a torch will see the green sea fans turn red. In the whale season from late July to mid-October the dive can be combined with whale encounters.
