Neck Point

Also known as: Finn Beach

Most divers enter at Finn Beach, close to the parking lot and toilets, into a protected bay with a gentle rubble slope. A swim of about ten minutes leads to the so-called sewer pipes, two long pipes that run out into deeper water and are easy to follow. Plumose anemones grow on the older pipe, and rockfish, perch and octopus hide around them. In winter Pacific spiny lumpsuckers appear, along with stubby squid, ruby octopus and sculpins. The point itself, with steeper slopes and small walls, is dived less often because of the long walk.
