Lighthouse Islet

Also known as: Lighthouse South Face · Light House

Lighthouse Islet is named after the lighthouse on the islet at the southern part of the South Atoll. A broad shallow plateau with hard and soft corals, thousands of purple anthias and many anemones with clownfish ends at a sheer wall. Moorish idols, tangs, angelfish and butterflyfish fill the reef top, blue-spotted rays rest on the sand and turtles graze the seagrass. Just Gotta Dive gives an average dive depth of about 20 m and says the site suits all divers in calm conditions, though currents can be strong and unpredictable.
