The Circus

Also known as: Le Cirque

The Circus lies between Tairapa Pass and the lagoon of Manihi, where the water of the pass spreads into the atoll. It is the place in Manihi to meet manta rays, which according to Wannadive swim here in less than 10 m of water throughout the year. Tahiti Tourisme describes the strongest current at the entrance of the site, where divers who can handle the rough water may watch the mantas move together. Blacktip sharks, humphead wrasse and eagle rays complete the picture. Visibility can change a lot between visits.
