Las Eras
Divers enter in a calm bay sheltered by a breakwater and swim out onto a shallow volcanic shelf that already holds plenty of fish. Around 12 m a tunnel and several swim-throughs cut through the rock, with light falling through cracks and stingrays or electric rays sometimes resting inside. Statues line the natural wall, the most famous a Buddha at the entrance of one passage. Farther out the wall drops to sand at around 30 m, where barracuda schools, bonito, eagle rays, garden eels and seasonal angel sharks are seen. The two depth routes make it a site that suits both newer and deep-trained divers.
