M3 Half-Tracks
Also known as: M3 Gun Motor Carriage Half-Tracks
The two vehicles stand upright on the bottom in the centre of the bay. Their tracks, front wheels, steering and 75 mm howitzers are easy to make out, and a heavy cable beside them suggests they were lowered into the water. No record explains why they are there; dive centres speculate they were dumped to keep them from the Japanese. Schools of fusiliers, banded and cleaner shrimp, octopus and the odd eel live on them. It is Subic's only military vehicle wreck.
