Lighthouse Reef

Also known as: Lighthouse

Scubaholics names the site after the lighthouse on the island of Parola, also called Mayanga, near the shipyard; Mangos notes that the light is really a marker on a radio beacon tower. A wide shallow reef with coral outcrops drops off as a wall or slope into deeper water. Divers see reef fish, crabs, banded coral shrimp, cuttlefish and many nudibranchs. Because most wreck sites are closed at night, it is often used for night dives, and it serves as an open water training site.
