Kyo Maru
Also known as: IJN Kyo Maru · Kyo Maru Wreck
The Kyo Maru began as a whaling boat and was requisitioned as a Class 10 submarine chaser. US P-40 Warhawks are believed to have sunk her on 2 March 1942. The wreck lies in two parts along the Luzon coast north of the bay but is otherwise fairly intact, with many features to explore. Big groupers and jacks live on her and small life grows densely on the steel. The descent and decompression are usually done in blue water.
