Vaadhoo Caves

Also known as: Vadhoo Caves · Wadoo Caves · Wadu Caves

The caves vary in size and depth, with entrances given from about 7 to 40 metres, and they are dominated by blue, green and yellow soft corals, sea fans and whip corals. Each cave offers shelter from the current before divers move on to the next one. From inside, whitetip reef sharks, tuna and eagle rays can be seen passing in the blue. Diverland describes large, bulbous caves where exhaled air collects on the ceiling and squirrelfish swim upside down. The dive ends in shallow reef around 8 metres, and a surface marker buoy is advised because currents can sweep through.
