Piton Wall
The wall starts right at the surface beneath Petit Piton and falls far beyond recreational limits, so divers choose their own depth along the face. Gorgonian forests, sea whips and delicate soft corals give it a colourful look, and large feather duster worms are typical. The SMMA mentions schools of rainbow runners and seahorses hiding among the gorgonians, and Scuba St. Lucia points to the many crustaceans and small critters. The scenery above the water, with the Piton rising straight out of the sea, is part of the appeal.
