Jake Seaplane

Also known as: Jake's Seaplane

The seaplane sits upright on a coral head, with one wing bent down and the engine broken off. Its propellers are straight, which suggests the engine had stopped when it crashed. The tail section and one pontoon lie a short distance away. A Palauan fisherman found it in 1994, and hard corals, clams and oysters now cover it, with batfish, lionfish, trevally and yellowtail fusiliers around. The reef slopes from the plane down to a sandy bottom.
