The Zoo

Garden Island Resort describes it as a site famous for larger animals: divers stop at the start of the first wall section to watch roaming grey and whitetip reef sharks with schools of barracuda and bigeye trevally. Dive Academy Fiji adds three species of barracuda, giant trevally, eagle rays and the occasional hammerhead, and Taveuni Dive Resort lists morays, potato cod and occasional manta rays. Further along, the deep wall gradually becomes a slope with fine hard corals. Visibility is usually excellent, and when the current is stronger divers hook in to watch the scene.
