Purple Wall
Also known as: Great Purple Wall
Purple Wall takes its name from dense purple soft corals on the wall, mixed with sea whips and big gorgonian fans. It is less sheer than the Great White Wall, and its nooks hide small life such as pygmy seahorses and nudibranchs. Pelagics such as barracuda, jack trevally and mackerel cruise past, and whitetip reef sharks and occasional manta rays are reported. Currents along the wall can be strong, so divers keep a close eye on their no-decompression time.
