Nuku Reef

Also known as: Nuku

Nuku Reef is a slope broken up by little sand patches between very healthy hard corals. The varied topography gives shelter to many small animals, which makes it a good site for macro enthusiasts. Nudibranchs, anemonefish, moray eels, triggerfish, giant clams and Christmas tree worms are named by local operators, and whitetip reef sharks patrol the reef. Taveuni Dive Resort warns that although it is usually a second dive, it should not be underestimated.
