Jerry's Jelly
Also known as: JJ
The dive starts on two big bommies whose tops are bare hard coral while white and lavender soft corals hang beneath a ledge around their base; the name comes from a diver who thought these corals looked like jellyfish. Anthias, snappers and fusiliers circle the bommies, and resident leaf scorpionfish sway on their sides. From there divers drift with the reef on their left, often fast over the reef flat into its sheltered lee, and the safety stop is done as a drift because the reef top is too shallow. Garden eels, blue ribbon eels, Spanish mackerel, dogtooth tuna and whitetip reef sharks are reported, and guides have found golden mantis shrimp here.
