Canyon
Also known as: Canyons · Canyon 1 · Canyon 2
Canyon starts in a sheltered sandy area inside the reef, where a rock pinnacle known as Rob's Rock rises from the bottom. Divers then pass through a gap in the reef between rock walls, which gives the site its name, and follow the wall north or south. Giant barrel sponges shelter moray eels, lobsters and large crabs, and frogfish, nudibranchs, flamingo tongue snails and French grunts are among the sightings. An anchor overgrown with coral, thought to be very old, lies on the reef. The site is part of the coral conservation work of Fundacion Ecologica Magua, to which Dive Cabarete donates a fixed amount for every diver it brings.

Vote for the name divers really use. Divers who logged a dive here count double. The votes are counted every night, and the main name only changes when another name has led clearly for a week.
