Colombara
The caves can be visited one after the other, starting with the deepest at about 30 to 36 m, ringed by red coral and yellow sea daisies. A second, smaller cave or siphon lies at about 22 m, and near the surface a narrow opening at about 10 m leads into the largest cave, which has two entrances and an inner air chamber with limestone formations. Cave shrimps and cardinalfish accompany divers inside, while scorpionfish, groupers, moray and conger eels live outside. A shallow wall at 6 to 8 m is covered in sea daisies. The University of Genoa runs a red coral experiment inside the Colombara cave, and the park asks divers not to touch the panels.
