South Steps
Also known as: Sunabe South Steps
The entry sits at the very south of the Sunabe seawall next to the port at Mihama. Steps lead straight into the water, and the conditions are often as calm as a pool, which is why instructors like it. Right after entering, divers can pass through a narrow swim-through called the keyhole. It opens onto a sandy area on one side and coral mounds on the other, rich in soft coral, small fish and critters. A colony of around 25 clownfish lives here.
