Willaurie

Also known as: Will Laurie · Willaurie Wreck

The Willaurie is a former Bahamian mail boat that now lies in a reef area at about 12 to 15 m. Stuart Cove's dates its sinking to 1989, and Sandals says it took on water and went down while on its way to be repaired. Sponges, soft corals and orange cup corals grow over the hull. Trumpetfish, snappers, groupers, barracuda, octopus and turtles are regularly seen, and a large resident green moray eel known as Bubba is usually found near the anchor winch or the stern. Stuart Cove's rates it an excellent night dive.
