Ray of Hope

The Ray of Hope is a retired freighter that Stuart Cove's sank in 2003 next to the Bahama Mama, close to the drop-off into the Tongue of the Ocean. The intact hull rests on sand at around 15 to 18 m while the wheelhouse rises to about 6 m, so the dive covers a wide depth span. Because it sits beside one of the shark-feed sites, resident Caribbean reef sharks circle the bow and cruise over the deck. Stingrays are seen on the sand, and from May to August schools of silver baitfish gather around the wreck. Divers can explore the ship's interior.
