Kicha
Also known as: Kicha Island
Kicha is one of the highlights of liveaboard trips to Marovo and is renowned for its hard coral cover and sea fans. Batfish follow divers, jacks and barracuda circle the point, bumphead parrotfish graze the coral and reef sharks patrol the wall. Scuba Diving magazine describes mobula rays and grey reef sharks hunting on one side of a corner and a well-known hawksbill turtle. The rumbling of Kavachi, an active submarine volcano to the south, provides an unusual soundtrack. Shallow canyons and valleys give shelter from the current and are full of reef fish.
