Le Polynesien
Also known as: SS Polynesien · Tal-Platti
The liner served as a troop transport in the First World War. The bow deck is in good shape with its cannon and anchor, the cargo hold contains motorbike tyres and pipes, and the midsection around the engine room is badly damaged. The stern cannon and propeller are well preserved, and bathtubs, bed frames and light fittings can be seen in the passenger areas. Maltese divers call her Tal-Platti because of the plates and china once found around the wreck. Strong currents can occur and the site needs a Heritage Malta permit.
