Junkers Ju 88 North

Also known as: Ju 88 North · Ju88 North

The wreck was discovered during an offshore remote sensing survey and is in good condition apart from some damage from fishing nets. The tail broke off and lies a short distance from the main wreck, and a forward-facing machine gun is still mounted in the cockpit. The Ju 88 was the most common Axis bomber over Malta during the siege. Diving the wreck requires a Heritage Malta permit, and it is a technical dive.
