La Pointe Morel

La Pointe Morel lies off the northern side of Terre-de-Haut. A coral plateau rich in colour and fish spreads over the shallow zone and is bordered by a dense field of gorgonians before ending at a steep cliff lit by the shifting light of the swell above. More experienced divers can cross the gorgonian field to a deeper break the locals call 'les cors'. The crevices below that break sometimes hide rays, nurse sharks, large snappers and barracuda, and Plongeur.com users have logged spiny lobsters and flying gurnards here.
