Aer Bajo

Also known as: Air Bajo · Aer Bajo 1 · Aer Bajo 2 · Aer Bajo 3 · Air Bajo 3

The guides who found the site named it after the Bajo sea nomads, because the people living on the shore reminded them of them; air means water. The bottom is sand from the flat to the deepest point and very silty, so careful finning matters, especially around photographers. Dive The World describes shallow rubble flats with debris and coral patches where mimic octopus, hairy frogfish, ornate ghost pipefish and seahorses are found, and stargazers and bobbit worms at night. Lembeh Resort lists Air Bajo 3 among its three favourite classic black sand muck sites, dived in a zigzag back up the slope.
