Récif Tabou
Also known as: Tabou Reef
The reef sits next to the small red and white beacon of Tabou and is reached after a boat ride of 40 to 50 minutes. Its calm, clear water and gentle slope make it a site for snorkelling and try dives, while the nearby wrecks of the Toho V and the Dieppoise add interest for experienced divers. Turtles often graze on the shallow sand towards the beacon, and cleaner fish, snake eels, sea cucumbers and razorfish are part of the scene. Sud Tourisme lists Tabou Reef among the must-dive spots of the South Province.
