Shimamawari

Also known as: 島廻り (Japanese)

It offers open-sea terrain similar to Asaji, with overhangs and a cave rock to the north-west, but current is usually gentler, so less experienced divers can enjoy it too. Japanese butterflyfish greet divers on top of the rock, and the soft-coral-covered south-west drop-off draws schools of sea goldies. Large groupers, parrotfish and striped boarfish are common, and amberjacks pass by. Coral Queen reports a pair of dolphins that stayed in the area.
