Asaji
Also known as: 浅地 (Japanese)
The oval rock runs north to south and is struck directly by branches of the Kuroshio current, so it can only be dived in good conditions. Amberjacks and other pelagics hunt the schools of baitfish, and hammerheads and spotted eagle rays are also reported. North of the main peak stand needle-like rocks with tunnels under large boulders, and ARK describes a vertical tunnel near 30 m that is lit by sunlight. Soft corals, anthias and schools of bannerfish decorate the walls. Two buoys allow different routes.
