19 Meters Reef

The name of 19 Meters Reef refers to the depth of the reef tops, not the whole dive, as the bottom lies at around 31 to 32 m. Several sharp pinnacles rise here offshore of Sail Rock in the waters of Nanwan. The reef is covered in sea fans so big that a diver with outstretched arms cannot span them, along with white whip corals. Currents are strong, which keeps fish around the reef. Dive centres run it seasonally for advanced divers with at least 50 dives and recommend nitrox because of the depth.
