Keikai
The ridges form a maze of channels that makes navigation tricky, but lets guides choose many different routes around the rocks. Shops describe dense life from macro subjects to large animals, and sea turtles are met often. In recent summers schools of hammerheads have appeared on early-morning dives, and some shops also mention them in autumn. The current can be fast at times and may flow in opposite directions on either side of a ridge, so one shop takes only intermediate divers or above here. PADI Japan recommends surfacing near the end of the dive to find the exit point.
