Helicóptero
Also known as: Esquilo PT-HNB
The helicopter first sat upright on top of the Laje da Matariz with its tail resting on the bottom. About two years later a storm rolled it down to the sand at the foot of the rock, broke off the tail and scattered the parts. Divers can still find the cabin and landing skids lying on their side, the turbine, the fuel tank and rotor blades. Souvenir hunters removed much of the structure over the years, so sources describe it as an easy dive that is more about the marine life around the rock.
