Red Reef
The site lies on the Atlantic-influenced south west corner of Grenada, and the higher wave energy has polished the reef into smooth mounds and crevices. Large soft corals and barrel sponges stand between the patches of reef and sand. Juvenile nurse sharks, crabs, lobsters, moray eels and octopus hide in the nooks, and the mix of reef and sand is home to many rays as well as turtles and sharks. Currents range from light to quite strong, so it is usually dived as a drift when the south coast is calm.
