Boss Reef
The reef is so long that it holds several dive sites, and the sections differ: hard corals dominate the eastern part, while gorgonians, sea plumes and staghorn take over to the west. Sandy valleys and canyons cut through it, and one hole that drops from about 14 to 18 m is a known spot for barracuda. Schools of creole wrasse, spotted and green morays, lobsters and trunkfish live on the reef, and nurse sharks and stingrays sometimes rest on the sand. Hawksbill and green turtles pass by now and then. The wrecks of the MV Tyrrel Bay and the Veronica L lie along its edge.
