Purple Rain

Also known as: Purple Rain Reef

The reef runs parallel to the shore and usually has current, so it is dived as a drift. Its name comes from the masses of creole wrasse that stream over the reef edge. Angelfish, triggerfish and moray eels live on the reef, while turtles, barracuda and rays cruise past. Dive Grenada highlights eagle rays coming in out of the blue. The MV Anina lies in the sand channel between Purple Rain and Kahonee.
