MV Tyrrel Bay

Also known as: MV Tyrell Bay · Tyrrel Bay

Eco Dive calls it Grenada's first fully cleaned shipwreck: asbestos, oils, loose debris and trash were removed before it was sunk in the Grand Anse marine protected area. The bow lies at about 7 m and the stern at about 17 m on the sand drop-off of Boss Reef, so snorkelers can see it on calm days. The ship is opened up so divers can tour it from the captain's quarters to the engine room, galley and bridge. It was sunk to give freedivers, beginners and divers in training a shared wreck, and the dive can continue onto Boss Reef.
