King Mitch

The ship was built as a minesweeper and later converted to carry cement before she sank in rough seas. She now lies on her side, and divers can follow her holds, ladders and walkways. The exposed Atlantic position means rough surface conditions and current, so the dive is for advanced divers. Sharks, eagle rays, Atlantic spadefish, barracuda schools and turtles are the reason to come, and corals and sponges cover the hull.
