Six-Metre Reef

Also known as: 六米礁 (Chinese (Traditional, Taiwan)) · Six-Meter Reef

The ridge near the surface runs for about 50 to 60 m and has an interesting vertical reef face, plus an open cave full of small life nearby. Further out at about 33 m there are fields of whip coral, curly black coral and sea pens, with a school of some 200 pennant bannerfish. Three regular sea turtle resting spots are known here. The longshore current is strong, so although the site can be reached from shore, local divers advise a boat dive and a careful briefing.
