The site takes its name from its rock walls, which divers liken to a church. Light falling into the tilted underwater rock cave through gaps in the rock creates an effect like sunlight through stained glass windows, which makes it a favourite with photographers. Both hard and soft corals grow here. The southwest monsoon can bring strong wind and waves in summer.
